Decorating with Branches and Twinkle Lights

There seems to be a new trend in town, which I have now seen at two separate places: decorating with branches and twinkle lights.  (Truth be told, they were both grocery stores… but still.)  The first time I saw it was at Asian grocery store Uwajimaya, and I took a picture because I thought it was sort of unique and fun.  The second time was at the University Village QFC, and took a picture because I recognized that a trend may be in the works…

Heads up, people.  Branches and twinkle lights!  Done in the right way, I think it could be pretty interesting - a different take on a DIY branch chandelier, if you will.  Anyone else seen anything like this, or done anything like this?

  1. oh gosh, the trend should continue - twinkle lights in branches is just so whimsical and romantic and lovely :) we ate at an italian restaurant decorated with those little gems the other night and it made me want to place some in our home :)

  3. Oh, I've seen these, too! They were used in a show home, on the inside of a canopy bed. Really lovely!
